What a crazy time we’ve had over the past couple of weeks! We organised a super Easter Egg Hunt party over the holidays which was a great success, and are in the process of planning a number of spring and summer events!
Carnival Themed parties are so in at the moment – what with the World Cup and all things Brazilian. We have great fun bringing in all the entertainers including some brilliant Salsa and Samba dancers. Drumming is also popular – Drum Cafe are fantastic and the Steel Bands (think more Notting hill Carnival), are also really in demand. They are great fun at drinks receptions and help to get everyone in the mood! You can see guests tapping their feet and swaying – totally oblivious that they’re doing it. One client loves the sexy Brazilian themed shotgirls with feathered head dresses and carnival costumes. The girls and boys on stilts are great for meeting and greeting – Very glamorous.
We’re even planning the dressing of our marquees with really bright, flamboyant colours. The jungle obviously features in the whole vibe so trying to think of ways of fitting in a small rainforest into a large marquee, along with all the other ideas we’ve got going on. Hey we’re even theming the ice sculptures and vodka luges. Also loving the catering with some super Brazilian BBQ ideas – lashings of lamb cooked in huge fire pits. Street Food is also in and I love working with ‘Up My Grill’, really great guys who can’t do enough for you. Another Street Food vendor, also has tuc tucs you can hire! Mad… The cocktails are brilliant, caipirinha made with cachaca – very sweet, but boy are they strong and get people smiling from the word go! Party on down!
